CHATTERBOX
Chatterbox is a playgroup for pre-school children and their parents/carers, which is held in the Memorial Hall on Thursday mornings from 10am to 11.45am. For £1 a session the children get refreshments, and also a chance to play in a safe environment where there are plenty of toys to share. The adults also get refreshments and a chance to meet other parents.
During the last twelve months we have had craft sessions to celebrate many of the traditional holidays including Mothering Sunday and Halloween; where we had a party and the children got dressed up.
At the end of July we said goodbye, and thank-you, to Carol, Joanne and Michelle. We also said goodbye to some of the children who started school at the beginning of the new academic year, in September.
At Christmas we once again participated in the annual Christmas Tree Festival. The children helped to decorate the tree, and a feature on local television rewarded their hard work. Father Christmas paid a visit during the Christmas Party, and each child received a small gift when they visited him in his grotto.
If you have children from babies to aged four, then please do come and join us on a Thursday – we would love to see you.
