Morecambe Parish Church Men’s Group meet once at month at the Rectory. If you are new to our church please do enquire about our group and come and join us.  We have a varied programme of events taking place. 

During last year we were fortunate to have some very interesting and entertaining speakers. Local author and travel writer Robert Swain took us through his journeys around Morecambe Bay. Our April meet coincided with Holy Week, and John Gibson gave us a splendid talk (with computer illustrations) relating to Retreats.

We enjoyed trips to various locations; Middlewood study centre proved absolutely fascinating. John Sayer took us to Cockersands Abbey and Thurnham Hall before the summer break.

Our Autumn season has been focussing on people’s ‘adventures and exploits’- starting with Rev. Gary about his sabbatical; Alan Sandham gave us an insight into his various journalistic encounters; Warren Bevan showed us wonderful slides about his Everest Trek, and we finished the year with Michael Peak’s splendidly visual presentation and tales of life in sunnier climes.
